Whole Nutmeg
This product is made using pure nutmeg that comes from the Myristica Fragrans tree. This Indonesian tree produces two spices. The seed's outside covering is used to make mace, while the inside seed makes nutmeg. Nutmeg is a sweet, earthy spice that goes well with a variety of dishes. This versatile seasoning goes in spice mixtures, sweet and savory dishes, and drinks.
How to use: Nutmeg is slightly sweeter than mace, and it makes for a great addition to mild sauces. It also goes well with baked or stewed fruit, custards, eggnog, punches, curries, sauces , pasta, and vegetables (especially spinach). When you grate a whole nutmeg, you get enough ground nutmeg for two to three teaspoons.
