Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)
A perfect alternative to meat mince. great for bolognese, burger patties or taco filling,
TVP takes on the flavour of whatever you cook it with. TVP also offers a great source of fibre and plant-based protein.
It is also high in iron and naturally free of gluten.
How to use:
For liquid based dishes such as soups, stews, and pasta sauces - add 1/2 cup of dry TVP and let it rehydrate while it simmers. TVP has a similar texture to ground meat when cooked, it works well in dishes such as vegetarian casseroles, soups, stew.
